Our Nursery
The Roslin Day Nursery is well established and offers 40 places per day to 2-5 year olds on a part or full-time basis from the hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, with the exception of Bank Holidays and the period between Christmas and the New Year.
The Nursery is registered with Ofsted, with nursery education grants available for children in the term after their third birthday. We also accept childcare vouchers.
Philosophy and Aims
To create within the Nursery a loving, secure and stimulating environment in which all children - irrespective of their individual abilities - have the opportunity to grow in self confidence and self-worth, and also acquire the social skills and educational competence necessary to enable them to successfully enter mainstream schooling.
We aim:
To create an environment in which the well-being of the child is of paramount importance and where mutual trust, respect and affection can develop between staff and children.
To create an environment where parents are welcomed into the Nursery at all times and where the relationship between staff and parents is such that any concerns on either side can be discussed in a relaxed and informal manner.

- Children are making good progress towards the early learning goals. Their progress in Personal, Social and Emotional development, Communication, Language and Literacy and Physical development is good
Partnerships with Parents
We are strongly committed to promoting a working partnership with parents for the benefit of your children. Each term, our "Parent Link Committee" meets with senior management to discuss nursery life in general and answer any queries or concerns that you may have regarding the nursery. We also carry out our own Parent Satisfaction Survey annually and any points arising from the survey are addressed, with an action plan put into place and monitored by the nursery team and Parent Link Committee.
